What is the best time to areate?
The best time to aerate Fescue is in the spring and the fall. For warm season grasses such as Bermuda, Zoysia and Buffalo the best time to aerate is between May and July. During this time the grass is activly growing. Areating during drought or times of high temperatures is not recommended and can be counterproductive.
How much does aeration cost?
Progressive Lawn & Landscape offers very competitive rates for aeration. Cost will depend on terrain of lanscape and amount of obstacles. Many times we can aerate close to what you would pay for the rental cost of an aerator.
In short, we recommend an aeration in the fall followed by overseeding and an aeration in the spring followed by a preemergent and fertilizer application
